Kartchner

Derek and I met in high school and I instantly fell in love. Derek took a little convincing, which came back around to him when he was trying to get me to marry him. He did, however, convince me and we have now been married for six and a half beautiful years. We have four wonderful and crazy children: Dathan, Blake, and Savanna, and Macady. I can't believe I'm old enough for this paragraph to be describing me.

Blake's Birthday

Today was Blake's 3rd birthday. He had a fun day dispite beginning it by popping a 2 foot size balloon in his face. The back hoe cake was a smashing success. Blake had a good time "helping" to make it. He had a hard time waiting for family to come over and eat it with him, with it just sitting there on the counter, waiting to be eaten. Blake is an eater. I was happy he chose hot dogs and chips for his birthday dinner. No set-up and no clean-up.
Of all the exciting presents Blake got for his birthday, this was the only one he reacted to, the bike helmet. It is a sign of being big, I guess. Dathan has one and he just thought he was so cool to have one now, as well. After all the initial fun of the presents, Derek found Blake in the kitchen with his helmet on, singing, happy birthday to Blake, etc. Blake enjoyed all the cards and phone calls. I got a special kick out of Spencer and Dallin. They sang and halfway through Spencer breaks it off saying Dallin wasn't singing right and started again. I was crackin' up! Thanks everyone!

Grandpa Kartchner thought getting in the pumpkin would be a great idea. Savanna disagreed.
Enjoying the spoils. Yes she left her hood on the whole night.
Us'n with Aunt Jessica. Blake was looking a bit worse for the wear, but hey, it was the end of the carnival and he had better things to think about, like which candy is better, or how does the wrapper come off of this one.
Does life get any better than this? What a cool mom my kids have. For Halloween lunch, we had not "pigs in a blanket," but "mummy pigs." Yummay!
