Kartchner

Derek and I met in high school and I instantly fell in love. Derek took a little convincing, which came back around to him when he was trying to get me to marry him. He did, however, convince me and we have now been married for six and a half beautiful years. We have four wonderful and crazy children: Dathan, Blake, and Savanna, and Macady. I can't believe I'm old enough for this paragraph to be describing me.

These were what we had to work with on Christmas Eve for Luke 2. It was a smashing rendition, I assure you. Savanna was in bed already and I, for the first time in I don't know how many years, backed out of the role I normally play, the beloved donkey. I claimed camera duty. Someone had to (Derek tried his darnedest).

This was the reindeer run clan minus Bradley. What we do is run on the farm road behind our house to the canal and back on Christmas Eve, right before settling down for a long winter's nap. Because you can't see, I will tell you what I am wearing. Coveralls. Brad's old coveralls from high school. There will be those select few of you out there that remember and appreciate those. They did not smell good. I did not come in last and Derek stayed back with me the whole time. It was a lovely moonless evening jog.
